SLAINE MILLER
Musician Specializing in Tuba Performance
Slaine’s formative years were marked by burgeoning leadership and musical skills at Calaveras High School, where he served as drum major, co-founded the Tri M Musical Honor Society Calaveras Chapter and the Calaveras High School Brass Chamber Club, and was a member of the Sacramento Youth Symphony. He continued his musical education at California State University, Chico, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education and Recording Arts in 2022. Under the mentorship of Dr. Lloyd Robbie (tuba) and Dr. Christopher Naverrete (conducting), Slaine excelled in performances with the Chico State Wind Ensemble and Low Brass Choir, and honed his conducting skills with the Chico State Concert Band.
Slaine recently achieved a Master of Music in Tuba Performance under the guidance of Aaron McCalla. Currently, he is actively engaged in the music scene, performing gigs and preparing for auditions while continuing to contribute his expertise to various musical endeavors.
